Academic Research
Hanmaum Science Conference
The annual conference offers an invaluable opportunity for scholarly communication between scholars and the general public who has an interest in the research
outcomes concerning the principles of Hanmaum (the fundamental mind inherent to everyone) taught by Seon Master Daehaeng in various academic fields.
Monthly Seminar
We have two types of monthly seminars for HanSI members: One is a dharma talk seminar, and the other is an academic research seminar. In the dharma talk seminar,
we provide our members with significant opportunities to study, experience, and share the true meaning of Dharma taught by Seon Master Daehaeng.
In academic research seminars, members in various professional fields share and deliberate their ideas and research questions to carry out individual/collaborative
academic research.
Research Group
HanSI Members choose their annual research topics and form research groups to carry out collaborative research in various fields including Humanities,
Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering, etc. These group meetings serve to actively immerse participants in interdisciplinary dialogues and investigate
the principles of Hanmaum.
Research Group for Hannamu Character Education
Through research on Character Education with Hanmaum principles, this research group develops specialized educational programs for teachers,
students, and parents to help them live a fulfilled, harmonious life.
Education
Basic Course of Hanmaum Gongsaeng (Interconnected Existence) Education Program
This program is specifically for introducing Hanmaum (One Mind) principles and helping people practice the principles in their daily lives.
With the team members and team leaders, the participants of various ages accept their problems in daily life as stuff to practice with
to learn how this world we see around us truly functions as one. The program is intended to make a development in their mental
strength through the practice of entrusting to the fundamental mind.
Advanced Course of Hanmaum Gongsaeng (Interconnected Existence) Education Program
Based on the knowledge and experience in the Hanmaum Gongsaeng (Interconnected Existence) Education Program, students focus on
entrusting everything that happens in their daily lives to the fundamental mind: Juingong. Those who complete the basic-level course are
eligible to register for this advanced course.
Seon Practice Program for Happy Parents
The program enables parents to confer and practice the authentic role of parents as they are guided to heal the negative emotions or
stress within themselves.
Seon Practice Program for Senior Citizens, ‘Happy Four Seasons’
Specially developed for senior adults aged 65 or older, the program helps the seniors reminisce about their lives and apply non-duality in
relationships to improve their well-being.
Professional Development Workshop for School Teachers
The Professional Development Workshop for School Teachers is prepared for teachers who may need to be revitalized in the rapidly
changing classroom situation. This workshop consists of various programs that implement the principles of mind education and the
related specific teaching methods which can be directly applicable to classroom situations.
Hanmaum Workshop for Buddhist Monks
This is a professional development course for Buddhist Monks and Nuns accredited by the Dharma Education Bureau, Jogye Order of
Korean Buddhism. The workshop is prepared for Buddhist monks and nuns who deliver the principles of Dharma to lay practitioners
according to the level of knowledge and experience in the temple. This workshop provides them the opportunities to study effective
educational methods and applicable lesson plans.
