1996
Held the first Dharma Talk to establish Hanmaum Mind Science Institute
1997
• Founded Hanmaum Mind Science Institute
• Seon Master Daehaeng became the first president of the Institute
From 2000 to 2009
2000
Changed the name of the institute to the Hanmaum Science Institute
2002
Launched the first Hanmaum Gongsaeng (Shared-life) Practice
Education Program
2004
International Conference
Theme: Korean Nuns within the Context of East Asian Buddhist Traditions
2005
Developed and opened the first advanced course of Hanmaum Gongsaeng
(Interconnected Existence) Practice Education Program
From 2010 to 2019
2012
• Ven. Hyesu Sunim was inaugurated as the second
president of the Institute.
• Won an excellence award in the Excellent Character Education Program
Contest, which was co-hosted by Ministry of Education, Science and
Technology and The Korean Federation of Teachers' Associations.
2013
• Signed a MoU with Hallym University Institute of Life and Death Studies.
2014
• Signed a MoU with the Dept. of Social Welfare in Wonkwang Digital University.
• Launched the first Parents Education Program, sponsored by Anyang City.
• Launched an education program for teenagers, accredited by Jogye Order of
Korean Buddhism.
• Launched a workshop program for Buddhist monks, accredited by Jogye Order
of Korean Buddhism.
• Held the 1st Hanmaum Conference.
2017
• Held the 2nd Hanmaum Conference.
2018
• Held the 3rd Hanmaum Science Conference.
2019
• Held the 4th Hanmaum Science Conference.
